Now that I'm getting back into the music community, you know what pisses me off? Well I'll TELL YOU what pisses me off. xD ANYWAYS serious. When I love a band like the Foo Fighters, when I gush about how great the lyrics to Fall Out Boy are, when I listen to the Cab and just feel complete, I don't give a shit about Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix. Their music is really, really good, elevated to the point of being great. But when people come and bash me for my taste in music, I want to scream. I really couldn't give a fuck about what they consider good music! It's not the technicalities of it. I don't care that Paul McCartney was a genius, George Harrison had soul. I don't care that Jeff Buckley was so amazing and underrated, Man Man has made the most sublime pieces of music ever. Don't get me wrong; I love music. Every single artist mentioned here is excellent in my books. The problem is, music isn't about whose fingers were quickest or who was smartest. Music isn't about that. It's about how JACKED UP you are on life, on love, on experiencing new things! It's about how low you can get, how high you can get, how great and terrible and beautiful everything is! Marianas Trench knows this. Fall Out Boy conveys it. But the Beatles... The Beatles had it, man. The Beatles had it perfectly.

People just don't understand that anymore. They don't understand that it's how a song makes you feel. That's why everyone likes different music. I wish people got that.
